Frog Life Cycle – Extras

The life cycle of a frog as it goes through metamorphosis.

Frog eggs. The dark circles in the middle are the frog embryo. The embryo is surrounded by a jelly-like substance.

A tadpole. It has hatched from its egg but not grown legs yet.

A tadpole that has grown hind legs but still has a tail.

.

.

A fully developed Leopard Frog. The tail is gone and it has all four legs. It also now uses lungs instead of gills.
